She-e Wu is currently Assistant Professor of Music at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Prior to her appointment at Rutgers University, Ms. Wu was Assistant Professor of Music at West Virginia University in Morgantown, and has also taught at the University of North Texas.
Ms. Wu was a featured artist at the Journees de la Percussion (PAS European Convention) in Paris, France and performed the marimba concerto of Eric Ewazen with Orchestre de la Garde Republicaine. She-e has also appeared as a solo artist at the 25th Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Dallas, the 4th National Percussion Convention of Spain in Seville, the Hawaiian Music Educator's Association Convention, International Percussion Festival in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the PercuPassion Festival in Lyon, France, the Marimba Seminar in Fukui, Japan, the Taipei International Percussion Convention in Taipei. In addition she has performed at the Royal Academy of Music in London, Monterey Conservatory in Mexico, and at colleges, universities, and Days of Percussion throughout the United States
Originally a timpanist and percussionist in her home country of Taiwan, she came to the United States in 1991 to study at the University of North Texas where she earned her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees. Her teachers include Dr. Robert Schietroma, Leigh Howard Stevens, Ed Soph, and Tzong-Ching Ju. She also studied composition with Dr. Jopseph Klein.
She-e is a member of the Bob Becker Ensemble.
