Ed Choi is currently a percussionist with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra in Korea. He has performed on tours with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and the Republic of Korea's Navy Band. As a member of the Exit 9 Percussion Group from New Jersey, Ed placed first in the 2004 Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition. He also won the Rutgers University Concerto Competition performing Schwantner's Concerto for Percussion and Orchestra. In addition, Ed is the rudimental snare soloist in the Lightning Percussion Video Series available through Dynasty. He is currently completing his Doctor of Music at Rutgers University where he studied with She-e Wu and Alan Abel. Ed received his Master's degree in Music from Northwestern University with Michael Burritt and completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto with Russell Hartenberger of Nexus.
