Lane Harder

Originally from Mineola, TX, Lane Harder (b. 1976) is a composer and percussionist living in Maryland. He recently served as a Faculty Associate at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, he has served as Assistant Director of Music at Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas, and he is currently serving on the faculty of the European American Musical Alliance Summer Music Program which offers training in counterpoint and harmony in the tradition of Nadia Boulanger in Paris, France. He holds degrees from The Peabody Institute (Spring 2007) and Southern Methodist University. Recent performances by The Bachanalia Chamber Orchestra of New York, Peabody Opera Theatre, Greensleeves Vocal Quintet, EAMA Chorale, and percussion ensembles of Rutgers University, University of Houston, McGill University, University of Kansas, University of Georgia, University of North Texas, and Southern Methodist University. Awards received from ASCAP, PAS, Voices of Change, and NACUSA. Harder's music appears on Gasparo Records.
