Tracy Thomas
Tracy Thomas is a composer/ percussionist/ music adjudicator based out of Troy, Mo. Since 2004 he has been on the music faculty at Missouri Western State University and is also currently a band director in Troy, MO. He has degrees from both Missouri Western State University and the University of Kansas, where he completed his doctorate in 2010. Numerous ensembles and soloists throughout the United States as well as abroad have performed his compositions. His piece, Three Songs for Voice and Marimba, won third prize in the 2008 Percussive Arts Society International Composition Competition.
