Written for the composer and Gordon Stout to play when they were both at Eastman, ‘Three Moods’ is a piece that requires sensitive musicianship and strong technique. One of the great things about ‘Three Moods’ is that the set-ups are reasonable. Unlike many multiple percussion pieces, it doesn’t take longer to set up than it does to play!
Dave Mancini has most recently toured and performed as the drummer for the legendary trumpet player and former Tonight Show Bandleader, Doc Severinsen.
