Claviers de Lyon Les Percussions

Percussion Quintet: Founded in 1983, this ensemble brings together five skilled percussionists playing mallet instruments like marimbas, vibraphones, and xylophones, creating a signature sound in contemporary percussion circles.

Artistic Vision: Their mission is to explore and expand the percussion repertoire—from transcribing works by composers like Ravel, Debussy, Bernstein to collaborating with contemporary composers such as Gavin Bryars, Moritz Eggert, and Zad Moultaka.

Interdisciplinary and Collaborative: The ensemble is known for innovative performances, often working with dance companies (e.g., La Vouivre), international music groups (e.g., Red Note from Scotland), Afro-Brazilian batucada women’s group Zalindê, and even pop singer Bertrand Belin.

Global Reach: With around 15 recordings and a 40-year career milestone in 2023–2024, the group has toured extensively and performed in renowned venues like Paris’s Salle Pleyel, Musée d’Orsay, Lyon’s Opéra, Beijing’s Forbidden City, Berlin’s Konzerthaus, Bruges’ Concertgebouw, and Montréal’s Salle Bourgie.
