Dolf De Kinkelder
Dolf de Kinkelder is a Dutch composer, arranger, and educator whose work spans solo, chamber, orchestral, and percussion music, as well as jazz, pop, and theater scores. Trained at the Rotterdam Conservatory under Frans Elsen and Klaas de Vries, de Kinkelder is celebrated for his versatility, expressive writing, and rhythmic sophistication. His compositions for percussion—such as Touch for solo marimba—showcase his ability to blend lyrical melodies with complex rhythmic textures, creating works that are both musically rich and performer‑friendly. In addition to composing, he has taught composition across multiple genres, mentoring many emerging composers.
