Paul Goldstaub

Paul Goldstaub is an American composer whose work spans percussion, chamber music, opera, choral writing, and orchestral repertoire. Known in the percussion community for pieces such as Mallet Palette for marimba and piano and Six Slick Stix Click Licks for three snare drums, Goldstaub’s music blends rhythmic vitality with a vibrant harmonic language that moves fluidly between tonal, modal, and chromatic colors.

Goldstaub has served on the music faculty at Binghamton University, where he directs Musica Nova, a performance series dedicated to contemporary music.
