Rande Sanderbeck

Dr. Rande Sanderbeck has been the Professor of Percussion at East Tennessee State University since 1985. He received his B.M. and M.M. from West Virginia University and his D.M.A. in Percussion Performance from the University of Kentucky. He has composed and arranged works for drum set, marching percussion ensembles and contemporary jazz percussion ensembles. His unaccompanied drum set solo "Homage to Max", is published by Studio 4 Music. The ETSU Indoor Marching Percussion Ensemble has performed at several Percussive Arts Society International Conventions, receiving the award for the best College Small Ensemble at the 2005 convention in Columbus, Ohio. He was also a contributing writer for "Jazz Player" magazine and has also released two masterclass CDs that have been included in "Jazz Player" and "Saxophone Journal" magazines.
