Sam Wollenhaupt
Sam A. Wollenhaupt is an American percussionist, composer, and educator known for his works for timpani, snare drum, and percussion ensembles. His compositions, including The Storm for four timpani and suspended cymbal, Gladstone Quartet for snare quartet, and the snare solo Broken Kar, are valued for their technical rigor, rhythmic inventiveness, and expressive character.
