Todd Markey

Todd Markey is a composer and double bassist, active in the North Georgia region. His double bass quartet 4 Basses in 3 Places won first prize in the 1999 British and International Bass Forum composition competition. His Sonatina for Xylophone and Piano was published in 1996 and favorably reviewed in the February 1998 issue of Percussive Notes. Currently, Markey is focusing on composing pieces for high school orchestras and has had several performances of his works in Atlanta area schools.
