This is the third Duo (Dance-Song) written by Gordon Stout for marimba and wind instrument. It was premiered at the International Double Reed Society conference in 1997. Both parts are virtuosic and exciting. The two instruments compliment each other beautifully.

Gordon Stout (b.1952) is currently Professor of Percussion at the School of Music, Ithaca College, Ithaca, N.Y., where he has taught percussion since 1980.
