Peter Hyde Tanner (b. 1936, Rochester, New York) is an American percussionist, composer, and educator known for his significant contributions to the development of modern percussion repertoire.

A collection of compositions designed to provide material for the young percussionist to display his/her abilities on many of the percussion instruments required in concert band or orchestra situations. As such, any of these pieces should be quite useful as audition material for such organizations. Excerpts can be utilized for sight-reading purposes and to isolate performance techniques in clinic/workshop settings, or simply for individual practice.
