Marimba

Music originally for guitar in Brazilian folk style, written by Augusto Marcellino. These much anticipated pieces adapt wonderfully to the marimba.

This is the fourth in a series of seven compositions titled Choro. Gordon Stout tried to incorporate certain stylistic aspects of the Choro from Brazil and Argentina in these compositions, as well as explore different instrumental combination with the marimba.
Instrumentation: marimba 5.0, soprano saxophone, violin, classical guitar, acoustic bass and percussion (small hand drum)
